The Art of Happiness

A QUICK BOOK REVIEW BY DAVID HENNESSEY

The Art of Happiness – the tenth anniversary edition by the Dalai Lama and Howard C. Cutler is a new book to me. I did not read the first edition but when I received it as a gift I decided to see what it was all about.

With my focus on Psychology for so many years that has lead me to read many books on the topic of personal development I did not find the information in the book new but I still found it refreshing in its simplicity.

The simplicity came from the Dalai Lama’s way of suggesting how to create happiness in our lives. Note: simplicity does not mean creating happiness is easy but the steps are truly not very complicated according to the Dalai Lama.

I also like the openness of the co author in sharing his personal stories and comments about the Dalai Lama’s ideas and how at first hearing he was not convinced of the value of these ideas.

Now again I advise you to leave aside my comments and take a few moments to read other people’s thoughts by following this link The Art of Happiness
