Plants that can clean your homes air

I just read a posting on the Broken Secrets Blog and it reminded me that a wonderful way to enhance the appearance and health of your home or office space is to put some plants in these areas. This is because as you most likely know plants produce oxygen during the day so their presence can help support our health. But did you know that there are plants that produce oxygen at night? It is true – so you can place a night time oxygen producing plant in your bedroom. In addition, there are also plants that can remove toxins like formaldehyde from the air in your home or office.

As you may know I am an active hiker but I am definitely no expert on plants so I recommend you check out one of the best books on choosing the right fresh air plants for your home or work space. It is based on 25 years of research by NASA. It is called How to Grow Fresh Air. It is important to do research like reading a book like this for a start to make sure you are aware of all the features of plants you choose. Since some indoor plants may produce a lot of oxygen but they may also be toxic to some animals or children. So to make sure you make the right choices follow this link to learn more about the book How to Grow Fresh Air: 50 Houseplants That Purify Your Home or Office

All the best,

David
