One Powerful Way to Keep Your Mind Healthy

healthy living habits

Healthy living habits make up a big part of my life now but before I use to sabotage myself.

For example, up until I was twenty-five years old I rarely drank pure water. Yes, I was physically active and I never knew the importance of drinking water. Yet, I do remember feeling very fatigued after physical activity but I never had made the connection to dehydration.

Today, I sit here writing to you with a big mug of water in front of me and I know that whether you are an athlete or not drinking pure water through out the day is very important.

I have learned to reduce consumption of diuretics as my only source of fluid intake during the day. Diuretics are substances that pull water out of the body’s cells. Examples of diuretics are soft drinks, alcohol, tea and coffee.

Even if you drink juices you still need to drink pure water throughout the day to keep you mind (and body) healthy. Water is naturally sugar free.

Action Step

If you do not already have a re useable water bottle write a note to yourself right now in your time planner to commit yourself to purchasing a re useable water bottle by a certain date. Then once you have it commit to bringing the water bottle with you everyday when you are outside your home.

I recommend you buy a stainless steel bottle to avoid any contamination of your drinking water that may happen from a plastic bottle. Personally, every one in my family has a stainless steel water bottle and if you see me around you will see my water bottle with me.

You can make your written commitment like this:

I will purchase a re useable / stainless steel water bottle to support the health of my mind and body by (date) and put this commitment note in your daytimer.

Note: Remember to consult your doctor before making any dietary changes.

If you need more motivation as to why you need to drink water or you need details to encourage someone close to you to drink water please check out this article on why drinking water is important.

If you are interest I have written two reviews on stainless steel water bottles to help respond to the emails of readers.

The review of stainless steel water bottles for adults is here

The review of stainless steel water bottles for children is here.

Best of health to you as always,

David
