Mother Teresa

When I was still very young in school in Ireland one of my teachers inspired us to take action and help others for pleasure of making a difference in the world.

Myself and 3 friends organized an event where we sold toys in front of one of my friend’s houses one Saturday morning.

We raised money. I remember it was not much but we felt great as the teacher sent the donation to Mother Teresa in Calcutta.

When we asked the teacher how can we make a difference with such a small contribution. He responded (as I remember vaguely) with a few words that I later heard was a quote from Mother Teresa.

“If you can’t feed a hundred people, feed just one.”

Mother Teresa

To this day I believe it is not the number of people we can help in our lives that is important as long as we help at least just one.

You choose the way you can make a difference in the world and be remarkable in what you do.

Thank you Mother Teresa and to my school teacher too for the inspiration.
