Intermitten Fasting: How to Improve your Mental and Physical Wellness

Fasting as a way to improve your mental and physical wellness may be something for you to investigate under professional medical supervision. Here I am referring to Intermitten Fasting.

I have been doing some research on my part including watching the 6 part video series from the Canadian Doctor Jason Fung (see the first video linked to below). It is a total of more than 6 hours of detailed information with reference to many scientific studies.

I learned lots of information from the videos including:

  • Foods that are good and not so good for you
  • The impact of vinegar.
  • The importance of the impact of food versus the quantity of food.
  • The failure of a number of huge scientific studies
  • The impact of insulin

I found Dr Fung referred to by Dr Mercola who is the person who produced the below infographic to explain his approach to intermittent fasting.

Intermitten Fasting is not a form of starvation but, according to Dr. Mercola, it is a way for you to time your meals to maximize your body’s ability to burn fat.
