Up until a few years ago as I worked on marketing my business I was sending out my newsletters, for example, by hotmail and it took me hours to attach each recipients name and email address and many times the messages would be blocked or bounce so I changed to MS Outlook.

In MS Outlook I created groups of people to send my newsletter to but each group could not be more than 10 people or my internet service provider would block them as *sp* (you know that word that rhymes with ham) This was terrible since I had over 500 readers of my e-zine at the time so I had to spend an evening sending out messages after message.

Finally ‘I saw the light’ and decided that it was better for me to pay a permission based email marketing provider to send out my newsletters and messages on my behalf in essentially just a few minutes.

What used to consume at least two to three hours a week (not including the time to write the article) is now done in about ten minutes.
