How often do I need to evaluate my goals?

Do you think it is a good idea to set your goals on January 1st and then only evaluated them on December 31st?

This is a question that has been on my mind and a question I have been asked by seminar attendees and readers.

In fact, I am of the belief that we need to evaluate how we are doing on a daily basis. Sounds like too frequent?

Remember the pilot of a plane is constantly adjusting his flight pattern to make sure his is on track to get from A to B and you need to do this too but let me simplify the matter.

At the end of each day set aside 15 minutes of the potentially 960 minutes in the day that you are active and during this time review your actions, perhaps, with help of a pen and paper.

The idea is that you can quickly review your goal cards and see ‘yes, I am on track to my health, wealth and happiness goals because I have taken specific actions today’.

If you have an effective goal management system in place you will be aware of your goals and able to review them rapidly.
