Healthy Sleep Habits equals Healthy Body Weight

Do you want to be healthier as well as wealthier? We all know health is invaluable so as we build our businesses if we are sick we can’t work or play so we need to take action daily to nourish our health.

A key part of our personal well being is a healthy weight, being overweight for our body type can put a lot of stress on our bodies including causing back pain and potentially leading to diseases such as diabetes.

Did you know your sleep pattern is related to your body weight?

Another study took place last year with over 300 participants and the results indicated individuals who go to bed at the same time each day and have a consistent wake up time with little variation (60 min + or – ) in their day to day schedule these individuals have less body fat.

This study was published in the American Journal of Health Promotion.

The study measured adiposity which is a method of measuring the amount of fat in our bodies and it relationship to sleep patterns.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It was found also that individuals who had 8 to 8.5 hours of sleep per night had the least body fat and those who slept more than 8.5 hours or less than 6.5 hours had the highest body fat.

The indications from the study is that inconsistent sleep patterns affects how the bodies hormonal balance keeps food consumption in balance.

Perhaps, it is as simple as when you hormones are out of balance you eat more than your body needs to create more energy you believe you need.

Tips / Solutions:

Schedule your going to bed time and wake up time and stick to it with a maximum daily variation of 60 mins.

Rest instead of eat when you are tired.

All the best to you
