Some people say the best way to learn from people who are leaders in the field you want to learn about, whether it is personal or business development is to read every book, attend every seminar and experience coaching by them but I disagree.

I think the best way you could learn from the people you admire who know what you want to learn about personal and business growth is to interview them.

Now, of course, if you are not a talk show host how can you achieve this goal? My suggestion is to phone up this person (if they live in the same town as you) and offer to buy them lunch.

Yes, buy them lunch. If you can get a successful personal coach or business owner to have lunch with you one on one you have the possibility to learn an enormous amount of information when you ask specific questions.

Specific questions are questions like:

One

‘What actions did you take that you regret? (this will give you steps to avoid)’

Two

‘What things did you do that surprised you with how effective they were?’ (this will give you steps to take)

Three

“What things did you wish you had done sooner? (this will help you save time)

**

Ask questions and just listen and you will be learn.

You may think the meal costs you money but the cost of coaching from successful business owners and personal development coaches could be hundreds of dollars per hour and the meal will most likely cost you less.

Does this work?

Personally, I have taken this approach in the past and in one case it ended up that I was hired by the person I was interviewing for a marketing contract. Why? Because he recognized that I was a person who wanted to learn and succeed and no one had ever asked him before the questions I asked.

Perhaps this idea can work for you.

All the best to you,

David

Did you ever work extra hours to complete a project or event you believe is important for your personal and business development only to find out in the end that you gained weight!

According to a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Vol. 89(1), pp.126-33) people who sleep less to work or play more actually eat more calories to keep them going and they gain weight.

The research showed sleep deprived individuals ate normal meals but ate lots more calories from snacks throughout the day to keep themselves going.

As you work on building your business you will need to identify obstacles that can stop your success. Once you identify obstacles it is easier to see them as opportunities to learn from and move beyond in the future.

Zig Ziglar, the legendary inspirational speaker and business coach reminds us of five basic obstacles to your business success.

*

One

Client has no need

*

Two

Client has no money

*

Three

Client is in no hurry

*

Four

Client has no desire for what you offer

*

Five

Client does not trust you

*

As you build your business make sure you spend time working with clients who have a need and desire for what you want as soon as possible and they trust you to give you their money for what you have.

Zig Ziglar is the person who said “if you help enough people get what they want, you will get what you want”

Check out Zig’s book that has been sold to over one million people.

Yes, I have read it too.
