I like Disclosure since it is the basis for good socially responsible business. So without further ado here is mine.

Please note this Statement it is followed by four more important notes including my Blog Guidelines and my Privacy Policy. Please read on.

My Disclosure Statement

I have read the guidelines for the new Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Disclosure requirements pertaining to blogs and websites. The FTC requirement is for disclosure of any relationship a website or blog owner has with a product manufacturer or service provider when they write about or promote a product or service on their blog or website.

In just a few words, if you buy something after using a link on this site like after you read about a product. Then you go to another website like Amazon via a link on my article. Then you do complete a purchase and you do not return the product or cancel the service. Then and only then  will I receive typically a 4 percent referral commission based on the sale price of the product from Amazon. Other sellers offer different commission rates. Please note in most cases you pay exactly the same amount for the product or service when you go through a link on this site as when you go direct.

Please note: I don’t always receive a commission because it depends also if you have visited the the new site you go to visit before in the past.  But I do appreciate the commission I receive and I am grateful for it no matter how small. If you are uncomfortable with me receiving a referral fee you can always go directly to the website of the service and product provider.

If I receive a free gift of a product or service I will let you know in the blog posting that I receive it as gift. Be sure that I will give you my honest opinion as to whether it is a good or bad product or service just because it was received for free gift does not mean I will give it a positive review I will simply give you my feedback on the product or service.

If I am paid to review a product or service I will let you know in the blog posting that I was paid to give the review. Just like journalists I like to be paid for my time. Be sure that like when I receive a free gift I will give you my honest opinion in the paid review.

As mentioned above you will find links to products and services on my blog, on my website and in my ezines. These links may be affiliate links which means I get paid a commission if you purchase the product or service. You pay the same price for the product I simply get a commission for directing a new client to a provider. I include the links for your convenience and you can always go directly to the site to avoid me receiving any payment. But of course, I would prefer..

It is worth noting that if you don’t see a disclosure policy on a blog or website depending on the location of the blogger he or she may be violating disclosure laws. So look for a disclosure policy so you know the relationship between the writer and the product or service reviewed.

And here are my Blog Guidelines

Well, almost first I have to give Credit for Guidelines: A few years ago I read a book by a cartoonist who makes money from advertising on his cartoon website. In the book he listed his blog guidelines and said readers of the book (like me) could use the guidelines as a base for our own blog guidelines. However, I cannot find the book reference only the guidelines in my notes. I think it was from the cartoonist at UserFriendly.org but I can’t confirm it by viewing the site. So I have to say “To the kind writer who inspired me for the following guidelines I say thank you. And if you read this note please let me know who you are so I can give you proper credit. If someone else who recognizes the book outline reads this please let me know who the author is. Thank you!

Now here are My Blog Guidelines

Number one If your post would directly contribute to the loss of the enjoyment of another individual’s use of the forum or blog don’t make your blog or post. The purpose of the blog and forums is to nourish the lives of users.

Number two No personal attacks or insults are allowed. You can only attack someone’s line of reasoning.

Number two Post nothing illegal. This includes pornography, pirated media and copyright material.

Number three Do not post comments that are racist, sexist, violent or similarly destructive in their content. Once again this blog is about nourishing health, happiness and prosperity the only thing you can attack in a posting is someone’s line of reasoning. If you choose to comment as a way to undermine the value of another person your comment can and most likely will be deleted during moderation.

Number four Avoid posting comments you would not want to share with any one in the world. This includes your boss, your customers, your mother, your father or some one else you respect because it is possible they will read it.

Number five The two click rule- you may not make a posting with a link to any pages that break any of the previous rules and guidelines within two clicks. This means that a link, any link, you provide is the first click and all links on that page are the second link.

Number six To help reduce stress in my life and my family’s please do not post any spam or spam this site or use our email to build a spam list. Truly remember to act with others the way you want them to act towards you.

Number seven None of the ideas, comments, photos or logos on this site are for you to take and use as you wish. They are all copyright material and protected by international law.
